Little Peoples' Prep will enhance the cognitive, social, emotional, creative and physical growth of your child. This early learning program and day care focuses on the child's individual and curriculum needs.
As teacher and facilitator of this program, I encourage parent participation and suggestions. I look forward to working with you and giving your child a wonderful early childhood experience.
In order to facilitate the operation of the Program and to provide quality care for your child, the following policies have been established. Your cooperation is important towards this effort.
Daily Changes in Schedule
Call the Enrichment Program regarding any changes in your child's schedule i.e.
Absenteeism/Illness
Please call the Enrichment Program by 9:00 a.m., or before your child's contractual
time, to notify me if your child is ill, late or will not be attending. There
is no reduction in tuition for absences. Your child's place in the program
is reserved for him or her.
The sick policy is as follows:
If your child has a fever, diarrhea, a runny nose(and/or thick mucous), a congested
cough in the initial stage (first 48 hours), or vomits, Please keep them
at home! Children at these stages are very contagious. Be sensitive to other
families and their children in the program.
In the event a child becomes ill while attending the program, the parents or person(s) listed on the emergency list will be notified to pick up their child immediately. Your child will be isolated from the other children until your arrival.
Overtime charges
One (1) late day per month (evening pickup) will be recognized for emergency
pick-up purposes only! There will be an overtime charge for children picked
up after their contractual time. The charge is $5.00 for the first 15 minutes.
The Program closes at 4:30 p.m. and there will be an additional charge of $5.00
for each remaining 5 minutes. NO exceptions.
Vacation
At least one (1) week notice is required
prior to vacations. Parents will pay half of weekly tuition to reserve space.
My Vacation may include:
Parents will be notified at least 2 weeks prior to my vacation or conference. Please inform me if you need a substitute program for your child. I encourage parents to have an alternative care provider for emergencies (teachers illnesses), etc.
Pick-Up Authorization
No child will be released to a person not authorized by a parent to pick up
the child. A written authorization from parents for all persons who are allowed
to pick up their child is kept on file. Please notify the Program if you want
to change, add, or delete names from your child's "Authorized Persons Pick-Up
List."
Tuition
Tuition is due before the 5th of the month for parents who pay on a monthly
basis. Changes to this policy will be recognized on individual contracts, or
by special arrangement only. Regular tuition will be charged for all legal holidays
if it's your child's regular day of attendance.
Meals
Breakfast will be provided for children who arrive before 9:00 a.m. The basic
4 nutritional chart serves as a guideline for meals. Menus are obtainable upon
request.
Two (2) snacks midmorning and late afternoon and lunch will be offered to the children. Milk and juice are also provided.
Clothing and Bed Items
Please keep a change of clothing in your child's cubby that is seasonal and
comparable to the weather. Sleeping mats and cots are provided for your child
for naptime. Two coverlets are required: a crib sheet (preferably) and child's
blanket. Both coverlets are sent home the last day of the week for laundering,
or when soiled. Soft animals, cuddleys, and special blankets are encouraged
for your child's comfort.
